The preliminary investigation launched by Turkish Competition Authority (“TCA”) upon the allegations that Trakya Cam Sanayii A.S. and its retailers have violated the articles 4 and 6 of the Law No 4054 on the Protection of Competition (“Competition Law”) has been concluded by TCA. Following its meeting on November 24, 2016, Competition Board found the allegations and the evidence sufficient and decided to launch a full-fledged investigation against Trakya Cam Sanayii A.Ş. and its retailers.

Article 4 of the Competition Law forbids any agreement or concerted practice between undertakings whereas Article 6 forbids abuse of a dominant position in the market. Through this investigation, the Competition Board will decide whether Trakya Cam Sanayii A.S. and its retailers have indeed violated the Articles 4 and 6 of the Competition Law.
